This Privacy Policy describes how MoneyMate (“the App”) handles information when you use it. By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Summary

MoneyMate is designed to help you track personal income and expenses. It works primarily on your device. It may read SMS messages that appear to be bank or payment notifications so it can suggest transactions, and it may show advertisements through Google’s ad network. We do not sell your personal data.

2. Information the App accesses or processes

2.1 SMS (sensitive permission)

With your permission, the App may:

only to detect and parse messages that look like financial transactions (for example debits, credits, UPI, or transfers), in order to build your transaction history inside the App.

We do not upload your full SMS inbox to our servers. Processing described in this policy is intended to occur locally on your device, except where third-party services (such as ads) apply as described below.

You can deny SMS permission; the App may not be able to offer automatic transaction detection from SMS.

2.2 Data you generate in the App

The App may store locally on your device, for example:

This data stays on the device unless you use a feature that explicitly exports or shares data (for example sharing a report or file), in which case you choose where that copy goes.

2.3 Device and technical data

Like most apps, the App may process:

2.4 Advertising

The App may use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) or similar Google services to show ads (for example app open, interstitial, or native ads). Google may collect and use data according to its own policies, including for advertising and measurement.

You can adjust ad personalization where your device or Google account settings allow (e.g. Android ad settings, Google account ad settings).

2.5 Notifications

If you enable notifications, the App may send local or push-style reminders (for example summaries or sync-related messages) according to your settings and Android permissions (POST_NOTIFICATIONS where required).

3. How we use this information

We use the information above to:

We do not use your SMS content to train a public model or to sell message contents to third parties.

4. Legal bases (where applicable, e.g. EEA / UK)

If GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on:

5. Data retention and deletion

6. Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under 18 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. International transfers

If you use the App outside your country, information may be processed in the country where you use the device and, for ads or Google services, according to Google’s infrastructure and policies.

8. Security

We design the App to process sensitive data on-device where possible. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure; you use the App at your own risk and should protect your device with a screen lock and current OS updates.

9. Third-party services

The App may rely on services including but not limited to:

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their practices.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. Because most financial data is stored locally, you can often exercise these rights by using in-app delete features or uninstalling the App.

For requests directed at us, contact: codecodestudio@gmail.com.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy, unless applicable law requires a different process.
